🌿 SustaInabIlty at Patara OLIVE OIL

At Patara Olive Oil, sustainability isn’t a trend — it’s a tradition.

Our olives are hand-harvested in the ancient lands of Lycia, near the coastal village of Patara, where time moves slowly and respect for nature runs deep. We follow time-honoured, low-impact farming methods, working in harmony with the land, the seasons, and the local community.

♻️ What We Do

🌱 Regenerative Farming
We never use synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. Our groves thrive naturally under the Mediterranean sun, with compost and native ground cover restoring soil health and biodiversity.

🧺 Small-Batch Production
We cold-press our olives within hours of harvesting, using minimal machinery to reduce energy consumption and preserve flavour and nutrients.

🚚 Low-Impact Logistics
Our packaging is recyclable, and we limit plastic use wherever possible. All exports to the UK are consolidated to reduce emissions and waste.

👨‍🌾 Fair Labour & Community Respect
We work with local farmers and craftsmen in the Kalkan region, ensuring ethical labour practices and economic support for rural families.

🌍 Why It Matters

We believe that food should nourish not only our bodies but also the land it comes from. By protecting the delicate ecosystem of the Lycian coast, we ensure that future generations can continue to enjoy pure, honest olive oil — just as our ancestors did.

Sustainability is not an add-on to our product. It is embedded in how we grow, press, bottle, and live.”
